Stride Orthopaedics & Footwear

On your first visit

What to expect on your first visit with us

*
Your appointment will usually last 30-45 minutes.
*
Bring your referral prescription.
* Wear something you can slip off like socks or short nylons; you will have to go bare feet for a while.
* OHIP does not cover the cost of custom foot orthoses. It's your responsibility to cover the cost and investigate any extended coverage you may have. We will provide you with the necessary documentation for extended health care claims.
* If you decide to have the orthoses made, payment in full is required prior to manufacture. We accept cash, cheques, direct withdrawals, VISA, MasterCard and Amex. Should you decide not to proceed with custom foot orthoses, or your assessment determines that it is not warranted, an assessment fee will be charged at the end of the appointment.
* You will need to book a second appointment so we can fit your orthoses. The pick up appointment is usually within two to three weeks of your assessment. Rush delivery is available.
